Another day of rain dripping from the Florida sky today, I decided it was a great day to take a nap. I must have needed it because I was able to sleep while drifting in and out to the sounds of Elizabeth chatting to her friend for almost two hours in the bathroom (which is separated from my bedroom with a cardboard strip of a wall), the kids talking and beeping away on their DS games, I Pad, and front computer. I just let them all indulge themselves in electronics today, it was well worth ignoring how long they played for the precious napping time I gathered.
Some reasons I needed a nap today:
1. I hand washed my brand new, light blue curtains, laid them outside to be dried naturally. While I was hoping for a fresh dry, the birds flocked in the tree located above my drying rack while I was gone and peppered their nasty poop on my curtains! I had to take stain remover to the brown polka dotted design they left.
2. Our dog decided to poop on our bedroom floor. Nice.
3. I bought gloves at the hardware store because Jon may need to fly out for his new job (another blog) and I might...gasp...have to empty the poop tank!!! Oh, the germies, I have to go wash my hands right this minute just thinking about the possibility.
4. There is a leak in our bathroom ceiling which means "we" (aka Jon) need to go on the roof and take off the skylight and see if there is damage, seal it back up....ya da ya da...boring details.
5. I need to do my taxes and so sleeping is a great way to not have to think about numbers and calculating and adding, and...numbers.
6. I kinda stayed up too late (1:30am) at the fire with Pieter and Clementine last night after Jon and Pieter bought a whole stack of wood from a guy on Craigslist. What you can't buy on Craigslist these days.
Now, I must log off my computer and catch some snoozes, I am tired after all of that writing.

Napping is my favorite "guilty" pleasure. I usually don't feel guilty, though. They're necessary for our health. Sorry about the poop stains, and duties, or is that doodies? Anyway, sounds like good things are happening for you!
Thanks for the laugh! Can't wait to hear your adventure when dumping the poop tank! Sure hope it doesn't break free like it did for John! Oh my, I'm soooo enjoying talking about "poop". I don't care who you are, poop's funny!!
Mary, naps are a great gift. I like your new word "doodies"!
Anonymous, I am hoping the poop stays put in the hose too! Poop seems to be a very funny topic. Glad you had a laugh!
